This document aims to inform you about the privacy policy and data protection measures related to the use of the MotionTag application as part of a scientific research study.
Purpose of Data Collection and Usage
The application is designed for research purposes only, collecting anonymous demographic data and tracking your daily activity for a limited period of several weeks. The collected data will be analyzed solely for scientific research, in full compliance with Israeli data protection laws, including the Privacy Protection Law, 1981, and relevant regulations.
Types of Data Collected
The application will collect the following data:
- Anonymous demographic information (no personally identifiable data)
- Geolocation data tracking movement patterns (GPS)
- App usage statistics (frequency, duration of activity)
Data Storage and Security
- All collected data will be securely stored following the highest cybersecurity standards.
- No personal identification is recorded, and it will not be possible to trace data back to individual users.
- Geolocation data will be stored separately from other data and undergo additional anonymization to ensure privacy.
- The collected data will be retained only for the research period and permanently deleted afterward.
Data Sharing and Third Parties
- No data will be shared with third parties for commercial or marketing purposes.
- Aggregated, non-identifiable statistical data may be included in research publications.
Your Rights
In accordance with Israeli privacy laws, you have the following rights:
- The right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data.
- The right to withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the app and submitting a written request.
- The right to file a complaint with the Privacy Protection Authority if you believe your privacy rights have been violated.
